Jeffrey B. Cantor, MD
SPINE SURGEON, FOUNDER
Jeffrey B. Cantor, MD
Dr. Jeffrey Cantor is an internationally-recognized spine surgeon and one of the world’s foremost leaders responsible for significant breakthroughs in the most advanced, minimally-invasive “ultrasonic” techniques and procedures. His institute is dedicated to research and education of motion-preserving and function-sparing spinal surgery, with an emphasis on fusion alternative surgery, for the treatment of cervical stenosis, lumbar stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, and other disabling spinal problems. Dr. Cantor devotes his life’s work to advance the field of spinal care through safe, innovative, and transformative techniques.
Dr. Cantor is committed to continuously evolving, identifying, addressing, and solving for the myriad shortcomings of traditional spine surgery and dated methodology – including recurring pain, the creation of three new problems in the fixing of one, compromised mobility and function, over-stress of joints, likelihood of additional surgery, and less-than-optimal outcomes. His founding vision for Cantor Spine Institute is to research and develop lifestyle-preserving, long-lasting, superior solutions for patients with spine problems. Dr. Cantor’s pioneering, non-destructive processes, techniques, and procedures are the result of exhaustive research, painstaking outcome analysis, incessant practice, and a positive embrace of the benefits of ultrasonic technology.
Dr. Cantor continually develops and masters the most sophisticated new surgical tools and techniques. His distinctive dedication and approach to research and education are a result of his experience as both a spinal surgeon and spinal surgery patient. As someone who’s undergone three separate spinal surgeries – the first at age 16 – Dr. Cantor is uniquely able to relate to the complexity of spine conditions and shape effective technologies and techniques that offer concrete solutions, and answer for the physical, psychological, and emotional burdens associated with these problems.
Dr. Cantor brings over 27 years of experience and has performed upwards of 7,000 spinal surgeries. His expertise stretches across the spinal spectrum, from simple procedures to the most complex cervical, thoracic, and lumbar conditions. Dr. Cantor’s pioneering vision signals a paradigm shift in the research, education, and clinical studies of spinal care, and his critical developments are credited with improving the lives of people all over.
He resides in Ft. Lauderdale with his wife and son.
