SCOLIOSIS DEGENERATIVE

Also known as adult onset scoliosis, degenerative scoliosis occurs when the joints in the spine start to degenerate, forcing the spine to curve to one side in a sort of ‘C’ shape in the lower back. The degeneration process may happen slowly over time as a patient ages. Symptoms of degenerative scoliosis can range from a dull pain in the back to excruciating sensations radiating down the leg. These symptoms may make it harder or even impossible for a patient to walk. It’s important to note that degenerative scoliosis is completely separate from adolescent onset scoliosis
